Guide dog trainer Hertag Hansen told NRK Østfold that good chemistry is the most important factor when pairing dog and user, and described the pairing as a perfect fit. Martin and Ekko completed a three-week co-training course. According to NRK Østfold, Martin described the first night thinking something was wrong with Ekko.

It was like a glove fit.
