BK Forward has postponed its season opener in division 2 following the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Hugo Mosshagen, a player for the club. The match against Karlslund, originally scheduled for Sunday at home ground Trängens IP, will now be played later. Coach Rickard Nilsson confirmed the postponement to TV4 Nyheterna, stating that the team needs more time to heal, as some players reportedly said they could not handle playing.

The club reportedly coordinated with the opponent Karlslund and checked with the federation, with no obstacles from that side. The new season opener will be against IFK Haninge away on April 5. Nerikes Allehanda reported that the match was a derby against Mosshagen's former club Karlslund, and a memorial was held at Trängens IP on Sunday.
