A limited edition coffee tin has sparked a collector frenzy in Eskilstuna. The tin, a collaboration between coffee brand Zoégas and porcelain maker Rörstrand, features the classic Mon Amie pattern and was given away free with the purchase of two packages of anniversary coffee. According to reports, the tins sold out in stores across the country within hours, with some locations in Eskilstuna reportedly selling out in two hours.
The tin is now being resold online for thousands of kronor, with the most expensive listed on Tradera reportedly priced at over 1,000 kronor. Retro expert Lotta Reberg reportedly said the tin could be worth a few thousand kronor more in a few years. Zoégas stated that all tins are now out of stores, with no more in stock and no plans to manufacture more.
