According to multiple reports, Aqualand waterpark is set to reopen on May 2, introducing a 12-metre mega-slide known as X Tower. However, the slide will not be available until May 23, and visitors must pay a £5 upgrade fee to use it.

A spokesperson for Cliff Lakes described X Tower as the UK's first tower of its kind, featuring six slides including dual racing lanes, high-speed drop slides with kicker exits, and a sliding mat. It is designed for adrenaline junkies aged 12 and over. 'We're taking Aqualand to a whole new level,' the spokesperson said. 'This is not for the faint-hearted. This is next level!'

Another new attraction, the Wibit Wave, measuring 15 metres long and 5 metres high, is also being added. Aqualand features eight inflatable obstacle courses that visitors can explore for up to 80 minutes. To participate, visitors must be at least six years old and 1.10 metres tall, and children aged seven and under must be accompanied by an adult on the course.
