According to a report by Daily Mail, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith dined together in Beverly Hills over the weekend, underscoring their lasting friendship years after their divorce. The pair dined at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills on Saturday, per Daily Mail. An Instagram photo showed Banderas, Griffith, their daughter Stella, 29, and her husband Alex Gruszynski; Banderas and Griffith walked arm-in-arm after dinner.
Banderas was in black trousers, silver bomber, and clogs; Griffith in blue jeans, black moto, and lace fingerless gloves. Stella wore wide-leg white pants and an ivory coat. Banderas described the gathering in his caption as a lovely and fun moment with family, calling Griffith a lifelong friend.
He told Vulture in 2019 that she is family and one of his best friends. He also recalled being smitten at the 1989 Oscars, per Daily Mail. They remain friendly and said they finalized their marriage in a loving and friendly manner.
Daily Mail reported their relationship started on the Two Much set in 1995; they married in May 1996 and welcomed Stella that September. They announced their split in June 2014 and finalized the divorce in December 2015, per Daily Mail. Griffith had Banderas' name tattooed in a heart on her arm during the marriage, Daily Mail noted.
Page Six said she began laser removal after the split and covered it with makeup for a festival. She later replaced it with her children's names, the outlet added. Banderas has dated Nicole Kimpel for 12 years, Daily Mail reported.
Griffith was also married to Don Johnson, sharing daughter Dakota, and was stepmother to his son Jesse. She shares son Alexander Griffith Bauer with Steven Bauer.
