Andrej Sustr is leaving Kalmar HC in Sweden. According to reports, he will play for the Finnish club Jukurit. The move comes after Kalmar HC's season ended with a quarterfinal loss.
Sustr, a 35-year-old defenseman, joined Kalmar in December and played 27 games in Hockeyallsvenskan. He reportedly averaged around 20 minutes of ice time in many matches. Kalmar HC has also seen other departures, with head coach Viktor Tuurala and assistant coach Oliver Styf leaving after five seasons, and players Peter DiLiberatore and George Diaco reportedly departing as well.
Sustr has over 400 NHL games of experience and has played in Germany, Czechia, Finland, and Sweden.
