Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson is experiencing a decline in voter confidence according to the latest poll from Verian. While Andersson still maintains the highest confidence rating among party leaders, Moderate Party leader Ulf Kristersson is closing the gap significantly.

The confidence gap between the two leaders has narrowed to just 4 percentage points, according to the poll reported by SVT. This represents a dramatic shift from four years ago when the gap was 26 percentage points. Per Söderpalm, opinion manager at Verian, told SVT that "the confidence for Magdalena Andersson no longer constitutes the same relative strength for the Social Democrats."

Andersson's trust no longer represents the same relative strength for the Social Democrats.

Andersson has consistently held the highest confidence rating among voters since taking over as Social Democratic leader, partly due to relatively high confidence even outside her own party. However, Söderpalm noted that confidence among Tidö Agreement voters for Andersson has decreased. He suggested this could be due to increased rallying around their own party leaders ahead of elections, with the current migration policy debate potentially playing a role for opposition voters.

Following Andersson and Kristersson in the confidence rankings are Sweden Democrat leader Jimmie Åkesson in third place, closely followed by Christian Democrat leader Ebba Busch. Other party leaders generally have lower confidence ratings, with Liberal Party leader Simona Mohamsson remaining at the bottom of the confidence league.

Trust in Andersson among swing voters has decreased, which could be due to increased rallying around party leaders ahead of an election or the current debate on migration policy affecting opposition voters.
