According to reports, Ancelotti made these comments during a squad selection for two friendly matches. He cited Bodø/Glimt's results in the Champions League this season, including victories over Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, Inter, and Sporting CP.
Sporting's coach Rui Borges also reportedly said Bodø/Glimt is a candidate to win the entire tournament. Bodø/Glimt reached the Champions League round of 16 after defeating Inter 5-2 on aggregate and won the first leg against Sporting CP 3-0, with the return match scheduled for Tuesday evening in Lisbon.
