There has been talk of a Russian spring offensive, but according to Russia expert Johan Norberg, it is a chimera. Norberg, a security policy analyst at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI), says the important thing for Russia is to maintain the image of an offensive. Reports about the offensive have been numerous.
Some reports claim it has already begun, while others, such as sources for the Bloomberg news agency in Moscow, say it is underway. However, on the ground, it is not noticeable.
