The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Calgary Flames 3-2 in a shootout in an NHL game at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The Ducks have now won five consecutive games and eight straight at home. Leo Carlsson scored in the shootout, tying his personal season goal record with his 20th goal.
Cutter Gauthier scored two goals for Anaheim, including the tying goal in the third period. Mason McTavish scored the decisive shootout goal for the Ducks. Calgary took an early lead with a goal from Joel Farabee, assisted by Ryan Lomberg and John Beecher.
Calgary's Jegor Sjarangovitj also scored. Anaheim goaltender Lukas Dostal saved Calgary's final shootout attempt. Anaheim's next game is against the Colorado Avalanche at home, while Calgary will host the Dallas Stars.
