The Swedish Work Environment Authority (AMV) has lifted the safety stops imposed by safety representatives within the ambulance healthcare service in Region Stockholm. The decision was made on Friday, February 20. The ambulance healthcare administration contacted AMV for an assessment of the stops, leading to their revocation.
According to Matilda Axelsson, acting operations manager at the ambulance healthcare administration, there is agreement with the safety representatives on implementing a system where employees receive information about risks before being dispatched to patients. Work to establish this system is ongoing, with a meeting scheduled for next week to review proposed measures.
