Pernilla Öhlund, a 41-year-old wedding coordinator from Älvsbyn, Sweden, has seen demand for her services explode three years after launching her business during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to reports from Norrländska Socialdemokraten and Piteå-Tidningen, Öhlund is reportedly Norrbotten's only independent wedding coordinator.
Öhlund started her business when the pandemic severely impacted the restaurant industry, where she had worked for 17 years. With a background as a trained economist, she decided to become a restaurant resource for hire. The business has grown significantly since pandemic restrictions lifted, with wedding inquiries pouring in.

One of her most notable events involved coordinating a wedding where 80 guests traveled from Hawaii and the United States to Lillkorsträsk. The international event featured menus with unique local ingredients that the guests reportedly didn't recognize.
Öhlund's experience with weddings comes naturally - she comes from a family of eight siblings, three of whom have married, and she was heavily involved in planning their weddings.
