Alice Evans, the actress, has claimed she was excluded from her father's funeral. Professor David Evans, a distinguished mathematician at the University of Bristol, died on March 13, 2026, at age 85. According to Evans, her father was cremated on Friday, April 17, 2026, and only extended family and friends gave speeches, not his children. She also alleged that she and her brother Tony were 'banished' from their father's life by his second wife, Dr. Catherine Hunt.
Evans' brother Tony died in August 2025 at age 55. Their mother died in 1999 at age 59 from a heart attack. In a social media post, Evans expressed grief over losing both her father and brother within six months.

Separately, a judge ruled that a domestic violence restraining order against Evans will be renewed for five years. Evans and her ex-husband, actor Ioan Gruffudd, have been involved in a bitter divorce and court battle.
Dear Dad, You left us on Friday. Only six months after the death of your beloved son Tony. Now all three of you are gone – you, Mum, Tony and it's just me and Phil from the OG family.
