Key Points
  • Oren, Tal, and Alon Alexander were found guilty on all charges in a federal sex trafficking case.
  • They face a minimum of 15 years and up to life in prison for crimes including drugging and assaulting victims.
  • The brothers, once high-profile real estate brokers, will be sentenced after their conviction.

The Alexander brothers, Oren and Tal, were known for taking risks in their real estate careers. In 2012, when their father and other developers struggled to sell a lavish Miami estate for $52 million, brokers Oren and Tal Alexander raised the price to $60 million instead of lowering it. Oren Alexander boasted to the Wall Street Journal: 'We got a lot of attention.

' The property on the private island of Indian Creek eventually sold for $47 million, putting the Alexanders on the map for setting a record in Miami's real estate market. Two months later, the Wall Street Journal profiled Oren Alexander (then 25) as a superstar broker and leader of '20-something power brokers' fueling the rise of well-connected young agents. Oren Alexander said: 'Quite frankly, I'm addicted to my job – the hours, the lifestyle.

' Oren and Tal were once celebrity brokers to clients including Ivanka Trump, Lindsay Lohan, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West. Now, 14 years later, Tal (39), Oren (38), and Oren's twin Alon (who ran the family security business) will go to federal prison for horrendous offenses. On Monday, they were found guilty on all charges after 21 hours of deliberation by a federal jury in Manhattan.

They each face a minimum of 15 years and up to life in prison for conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and other sex offenses. The 12-count indictment (reduced to ten) charged them with sex trafficking, rape, and sexual assault of drugged victims in crimes committed over more than 20 years. The accusations came from women who were as young as 13 when they say they fell prey to the Alexanders.

The men also face more than two dozen civil lawsuits from accusers. The trial revealed that the real risks the Alexanders took were their reliance on the silence of the many women they attacked.
