5 billion kronor to renovate the campus area in Luleå, Sweden. The investment aims to enhance studies and research. Three buildings will be demolished and replaced with new spaces for high-precision measurements and study environments, with completion planned for 2034.
Project manager Erik Nordenskiöld from Akademiska Hus described the timeline as challenging but credible. University director Maria Lundgren noted that 50 percent of the area will change while 100 percent of operations continue as usual, calling it a giant transformation and enormous challenge. The project is still being planned, and during construction, the same student capacity will be maintained despite fewer spaces.
