A 31-year-old man from Halmstad is standing trial accused of multiple serious sexual assaults against children, according to reports from SVT Halland. The man allegedly posed as a 16-year-old on social media with the aim of grooming young girls, with the youngest victim reportedly being 9 years old. He is suspected of having exposed four girls to sexual offenses, though police believe there may be additional victims who have not reported the crimes.
The man allegedly offered the girls alcohol and drugs before committing sexual assaults when they were unconscious. A second man, aged 30, is suspected of child pornography offenses and failure to report serious sexual assault against children. The 31-year-old denies the allegations, and his lawyer has declined to participate in interviews.
The trial against both men is concluding at Halmstad District Court.
