According to police, the threat occurred at a school in Lidköping municipality. The boy was detained on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, suspected of serious unlawful threats. He has now been released but is instead taken into care by social services.
The nature of the threat and against whom it was directed has not been disclosed. The suspicion remains and the investigation is ongoing. Senior prosecutor Sofia Karlsson stated that no further information can currently be provided in the case.
The reason for his release from detention and placement into social services care is unclear.
