A 14-year-old boy has been found guilty of murder and attempted murder by the Norrköping District Court, according to reports from local media. The court determined the teenager was responsible for the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man on a playground in Norrköping in September of last year. The victim was reportedly struck by three shots during the incident.
According to Norrköpings Tidningar, less than a month after the murder, the same boy attempted another murder at a gym in central Norrköping, where he entered with the intention of shooting another person. The boy was arrested following this second incident.
The court found the 14-year-old guilty of multiple charges including murder, attempted murder, serious weapons offenses, arson, and drug offenses. In a related development, another 14-year-old boy was found guilty of aiding and abetting the murder, while a 17-year-old was acquitted of attempted murder charges. A 15-year-old convicted of weapons offenses received youth care.
