A 10-year-old boy was struck by a car while cycling across a pedestrian crossing in Hallstahammar on Monday morning. The accident occurred just before 8:00 AM on Norra Västeråsvägen when the boy was hit by a passenger car.
According to police spokesperson Magnus Jansson Klarin, the boy was conscious and able to speak after the collision but complained of back pain. Emergency services including police and rescue personnel were called to the scene.

The boy was transported by ambulance to a hospital for medical treatment. Police have filed a report regarding the traffic accident but have not yet determined who was responsible for causing the collision. No suspect has been identified in the case at this time.
