Storfors

A non-socialist coalition has taken power in Storfors for the first time in fifty years. Meanwhile, internal conflicts and leadership changes are reshaping local politics in Olofström, Valdemarsvik, and other municipalities.

The sitting government in Storfors was voted out at an extra-convened municipal council meeting on Tuesday, February 10, after the Moderates requested a vote of no confidence against the chair of the municipal executive board. The Moderates will now take over power together with the Sweden Democrats, the Centre Party, and the Christian Democrats.
