The Sami upper secondary school and reindeer husbandry school in Kautokeino has hired a new principal. Marja Elise Mathisdatter Hætta Eira will assume the position on August 1, according to an official announcement.

Áilu Valle and Mikkâl Morottaja (Amoc) received the Áillohaš Prize on the Sámi Grand Prix stage in Báktehárji in Kautokeino on Saturday evening, marking the first time two Sámi artists have been honored simultaneously.
