Italy's Culture Ministry has put a recently purchased devotional painting by early Renaissance artist Antonello da Messina on display in the Senate. The artwork, titled 'Ecce Homo' and dating from around 1470, was bought for $14.9 million from Sotheby's auction house in New York.

A juvenile court in L'Aquila has ordered a mother to move out of a supervised residential facility where she was living with her three children, citing behavioral issues and conflicts with staff. The family's lawyers are preparing an appeal against the decision.
