Finspång

A series of severe animal cruelty cases in Sweden has resulted in convictions, including a woman in Finspång where 41 dogs were found living in misery, two requiring euthanasia, and cases in Rauma and Trollhättan involving neglect and sexual abuse.

Catrine Henriksson, a specialist nurse at an elderly care home in Finspång, has used therapy dogs for 15 years to spread joy and love among residents. This practice, which activates residents and releases calming hormones, is part of a growing trend in Swedish institutions.

Police in Sweden and Norway are investigating separate incidents involving reports of loud bangs in Finspång and shots in Fauske, but have so far found no evidence at either scene.
