A swarm of bees forced the closure of a gate at Gatwick Airport for six hours on Sunday, while a separate swarm of thousands of bees shut a Paris metro entrance on Saturday. Both incidents were resolved by local beekeepers who safely removed the insects.

Colin Kazim-Richards has been appointed as Crawley Town head coach in April 2025, replacing Scott Lindsey after a 10-match winless run. The club was one point above the relegation zone when he took over.
