York City drew 1-1 with Rochdale to end a 10-year exile from the Football League.

Rochdale's Emmanuel Dieseruvwe scored a goal in the 95th minute.

York City's celebrations lasted more than 24 hours, including a trophy lift, champagne, and pub sessions.

The match saw pitch invasions after Rochdale's goal and again after York's equaliser.

All four charged men have been bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on August 18.

One man was arrested at the scene but later de-arrested.

Four men were charged in connection with an incident after the match: Kiean Sultan (pitch encroachment and Section 4 Public Order Act), Aaron Dawson (two counts of Section 4B Public Order Act), Sam Manicolo (pitch encroachment), and Thomas Coleman (pitch encroachment).

Both the council and police turned down the initial application for a parade to be held this week.

City of York Council have been approached for further comment.

Julie-Anne Uggla did not confirm details of the parade, including its date or route, during her pitch announcement.

Money raised from the £1 ticket price goes to Yorkshire children's cancer charity Candlelighters Trust.

More than 4,100 tickets were sold for the promotion party.

North Yorkshire Police had previously said elements of the plan are unclear, with a significant lack of detail and unresolved safety concerns.

A petition calling for a bus parade attracted more than 2,000 signatures.

Club owners confirmed a bus parade would go ahead next week.
