A boat on Hinsholmen in Gothenburg was completely engulfed in flames on land just after 9:30 PM on Wednesday evening. Firefighting work is ongoing, with the rescue service having a smaller resource package on site. The alarm to SOS Alarm came in at 9:29 PM regarding the boat fire, and when the rescue service arrived, it was determined that the boat was engulfed in flames and large smoke clouds were spreading over the area. The boat is about 40 feet long, and some adjacent boats may have been affected. The fire has been mostly extinguished and dampened down properly. The rescue service was alerted that a boat near Herstaberg was burning. The cause of the boat fire on Hinsholmen remains unknown.

In Fredrikstad, the fire service was dispatched to Borg harbor around 11:30 PM on Saturday after employees reported heavy smoke from a pile of metal scrap stored on the quay. The first message from crews indicated a strong fire in a rubbish pile with lots of scrap, open flames, and a lot of black smoke. Shortly after the fire started, a crane operator on site got an idea to use a crane bucket to hold water for firefighting. The metal pile had been placed at the harbor three days ago as an intermediate station before transport, and although they have experienced fires in metal piles before, it is the first time it has happened inside the actual harbor. No one has inhaled smoke or sustained other injuries in connection with the fire. The smoke drifted towards the harbor's nearest neighborhood, Kongsten, and residents were advised to close doors and windows, while a blanket of light gray smoke moved towards Kråkerøy and Fredrikstad city center. A total of six fire trucks and about 15 people from the fire service were sent out to extinguish the fire, which is now extinguished, but the fire service will be on site overnight in case it flares up again. The cause of the metal pile fire at Borg harbor is under investigation.

On Tjønnøya in Frøya municipality, a report of a fire in a boathouse came at 10:00 PM, with the police saying it eventually spread to a cabin nearby. The fire service reported at 10:36 PM that they are in the process of gaining control of the fire, and the fire service is still on site and working on extinguishing, but they feel they have control. The police said there was no personal injury, and they will investigate the case tomorrow. Two residents in a cabin reported the fire, and no persons were in the boathouse when it started burning. The police have not been on site because there is no mainland connection from the island and it is difficult to get there. The cause of the boathouse fire on Tjønnøya is not yet determined.

In Helsinki, the icebreaker Sisu caught fire on Thursday while at the quay in Katajanokka, with the rescue department saying it was a small fire start in connection with repair work. The ship's crew initially extinguished the fire before the rescue department arrived on site, and the rescue department's task was only to gather information and check the premises. Seven rescue department units were sent to the ship, and the shipping company and police are investigating the cause of the fire, which remains unknown.

In Kvinnheradsfjorden, the fire service was dispatched with a boat from Husnes to a fire in the engine room of a fish farm boat on Tuesday. The fire crew is on board, and the fire is isolated in the engine, with a self-extinguishing system with CO2 gas started and poured into the engine. About ten minutes later, the fire is reported extinguished. Two people were reported on board the boat when it started burning, and the boat is now being towed to land. The cause of the fire in the fish farm boat is still unclear.

Separately, in Ålesund, two people were on board a boat that took in water at Hessafjorden, but the police said they are not injured. They were fishing when the boat started taking in water and were on their way in towards land when the boat went down in the foreshore stones. The fire boat was quickly on site and the two were taken to safety before the boat went down, with the rescue boat also on site. The police are not opening a case on the incident.
