Two men have been convicted for illegal imaging of a protected object in Oskarshamn, Sweden. They were initially suspected of espionage after being arrested outside the OKG nuclear power plant. According to reports, the men, a father and son who are Polish citizens, were sentenced to 40 day-fines each. They reportedly admitted to the charges, so no trial was held in the district court. At the time of their arrest in March last year, they reportedly had a map of the nuclear facility in their car, along with binoculars and a Geiger counter. Photos of the son posing at the nuclear power plant wearing a hat with a Soviet emblem were reportedly found on the father's mobile phone. The men have reportedly stated that they are very interested in nuclear power plants and traveled to Sweden to visit OKG.
